purposes. It is not professional pool-service, chemical-safety,
engineering, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a
qualified pool professional. When in doubt — especially about anything involving
health, safety, or expensive equipment — consult a professional.
2. The product label always wins
Every dose shown is an estimate based on widely published dosing
guidelines, scaled to the pool volume and readings you enter. Real water is
buffered and every pool is different, and a mistyped volume or reading will produce a
wrong dose. Before adding any chemical, read and follow the
manufacturer's label and safety data sheet (SDS). If this app and the
label disagree, follow the label. Confirm the product's
active-ingredient percentage matches what you selected — it changes the dose.
3. Handle chemicals safely
Never mix pool chemicals together — especially chlorine products
and acid, which can react violently and release toxic gas. Add one chemical at a time
with the pump running, wait, and re-test before adding more. Wear appropriate
protection (gloves, eye protection), add chemicals to water — never water to
concentrated chemicals — and store products sealed, separated, cool, and out of reach
of children and pets. Keep people and pets out of the water while levels are outside
the safe range.
4. You use this app at your own risk
You are solely responsible for testing your water, verifying every dose against
the product label, and safely handling, applying, and storing chemicals. By using
this app you accept full responsibility and assume all risk of
personal injury, illness, and damage to your pool, equipment, or other property
arising from decisions made with it.
5. No warranty
This app is provided "as is" and "as available", without
warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, reliability,
merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. Calculations, saved data, and
third-party information (like weather) may contain errors or become unavailable.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors, contributors, and
operators of this app are not liable for any damages — direct,
indirect, incidental, consequential, or special, including personal injury, illness,
or damage to pools, equipment, or property — arising from your use of, or inability
to use, this app or its recommendations.
7. In an emergency
Do not rely on this app in an emergency. For chemical exposure, splashes, or
ingestion, call your local poison center (in the US:
Poison Control, 1-800-222-1222) or emergency services immediately.
If chemicals are fuming or reacting, leave the area first, then call your local
emergency number.
8. Third-party services & purchases
The optional weather feature uses the Open-Meteo forecast API; forecasts can be
wrong and we are not responsible for them. "Buy" links open Amazon searches — as an
Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases. Links are not endorsements of
any brand or seller, and any product you buy is between you, the seller, and the
manufacturer.
9. Your data
Your pool setup, readings, and logs are stored only in your browser's local
storage on your device. If you enable weather, your location is sent only to the
weather API. Nothing is sent to our servers — there are none.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app evolves. After a material change, the app
will ask you to review and accept them again. Continued use after accepting means the
current terms apply.
